Kissa Mederu
A moment to unwind in the city.
At Kissa Mederu in Koenji-minami, enjoy a relaxing break with paw-print pancakes, custom-colour cream sodas, classic Napolitan pasta, and evening cocktails.
01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
Cat motifs adorn everything from tableware and cutlery to the subtle interior decorations at Kissa Mederu, a kissaten that pairs a playful, charming world with satisfying sweets and light meals. The signature "Neko Punch Pancake" features a stack of pancakes branded with cat paw prints, served alongside whipped cream and strawberries. Playful café drinks include the vibrant "Oshi-iro Cream Soda", available in a choice of signature colours, as well as house-made ginger drinks with a lively ginger bite, making for memorable sips in both photos and taste.
Beyond sweet treats, the café works just as well for savoury meals. Classic, savoury-fried Napolitan spaghetti and hearty toasted breads share the menu with the "Today's Meal" options, which rotate between hashed beef udon, cream stew udon, and daily rice dishes, offering reliable comfort for either lunch or dinner.
Doors stay open late until 22:30, transitioning into an evening café scene with alcoholic options after dark. Whimsical cocktails like the "Tipsy Cream Soda" and "Midnight Pudding" appear alongside approachable glasses such as medium bottles of Sapporo Red Star beer and various sour highballs. Outlets are provided along the counter seats, and dogs are welcome indoors, making it an easy spot to drop by on a walk or settle in for a quiet breather.
